I’ve not gotten much knitting or reading done in the last week. I think I knit a total of one and a half rounds of my rag rug, and have managed only to grab my book with the intention of sitting down and reading, before getting interrupted.
The book I have yet to read is The China Study, borrowed from my sister in law, a vegetarian foodie. She went home to Texas with my copy of Real Food, which is kind of my food manual. I’m hoping to read a significant portion of The China Study before she returns next month so we can discuss the opposing arguments presented in the two books.

Since I began blogging in 2006 I've always had a hard time finding the right balance between family, blogging and all the other demands of life. That's why I'm loving Rachel Meek's ebook
I really liked China Study- though I would love to hear more of the arguments against it. Didn't feel super balanced. Guess that's why I haven't become a vegan.
Love the rug!
I bet the rug is going to look gorgeous once finished. Have fun discussing what you have both read. Jacinta
I'm not very far into it, but it is a fascinating read. Don't think I'll become a vegan but I love to read about food/nutrition. I really love Real Food, my sister in law posted a little about reading it here (http://bexeatsplants.blogspot.com/2011/06/easy-ca… you're interested.
Thanks, Barbara
Thanks Jacinta! I plan on posting the details of the oval rug on ravelry once I'm done.
